| Abstract | Migration has become a significant social and economic phenomenon in rural societies across developing countries. Women constitute an important part of migration processes, either as independent migrants or as accompanying family members. However, migrant women often face multiple socio-economic and cultural challenges that affect their well-being and social status. This research paper examines the major problems experienced by migrant women in rural society through an empirical study based on primary data. The study explores the socio-economic background of migrant women, the reasons for migration, and the social, economic, and cultural difficulties they encounter in rural communities. Primary data were collected through structured questionnaires and interviews with migrant women residing in selected rural villages. The research adopts a descriptive and analytical approach to interpret the collected data. The findings reveal that migrant women face several problems, including employment insecurity, low wages, social discrimination, health issues, and limited access to education and public services. The study highlights the need for effective policy interventions, gender-sensitive rural development programs, and social support systems to improve the living conditions of migrant women. The research concludes that addressing the problems of migrant women is essential for inclusive rural development and gender equality. |
